php - Coding toolset for Oculus Rift and Facebook combo -
I want to code for oculus rift and my program has full access to Facebook API. This is a leap in my deep but it does not make any difference. I have some programming knowledge and need to learn what I need to learn.
I'm thinking of the above combination now:
- Ogre Plus Oculus API (0.3.1 Preview)
- Use Facebook PHP SDK (which I Please read it from its C ++)
Please advise me on a sensible combination of languages / libraries. Yes, this cat is more likely to have more than one way to skin, but I think there is a more obvious way for experienced programmers: this is what I am looking for.
Additional Notes:
- I'm not making a 3D game, so I'm excluding unity.
- I do not know what I am doing (!), But I hope that it will be fun and it will use a crack with FB to make something new.
- I pre-ordered this question to DK2
It is largely depending on whether you or any particular person has to face this problem, it is easiest to work with it if I was working on it, then maybe for Oculus SDK and Java Beginning with binding, because in simple way I have been introduced to Toolset (I'm large with Spring Worked on the scale and I wrote the JovR binding and example) I would get a prototype which I could walk again, possibly in the case of hours. On the other hand if you are not familiar with Java, Maven, Spring, or Oculus SDK, then it may take code of day or week code and can locate the original workflow to start Facebook or Oculus integration parties.
I recommend that you work with Facebook to work with Oculus Tool to work with you before organizing your combination. Write a simple example to reach the Facebook graph API in a language and then try to write an example of a simple VR view in the same language. You think that just because language X has made it easy, it should be ten times as hard as it should be. Once you are trying with many libraries / libraries in many languages, you will be in a better position to decide for yourself what the combination of at least resistance will be given their own skills.
Keep in mind that oculus integration is probably limited to two. Binding is what I know for C, C ++, Python, Java and I believe C # can also use Javascript if you want to navigate the currently turbulent water webvar, like the abundance of this option It may seem, but if you have zero experience and zero desire to gain experience in some of these, then you can probably strike them with your list very quickly
second Rough Facebook has all the possible bindings to list them here, and ultimately if you need you can always work directly with the rest of the API, because at the end all SDKs are basically still around network requests Wrappers
